Doodream is a Samulnori group formed in 2004, comprising middle and high school students based in Irvine. Samulnori is a traditional Korean percussion music genre featuring four main instruments: Buk, Jangu, Jing, and Kkwaengari.
Since 2020, Doodream has operated as a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization. We practice every Saturday evening and participate in various festivals and multicultural events organized by the Korean & Asian communities, educational institutions, and cities.
Our performances serve to showcase Korean culture and promote cross-cultural understanding. Through sharing Korean music and traditions with the community, we aim to foster appreciation for diverse cultures, contributing to a more harmonious society.
